Hiking the 6 peaks of Saranac Lake

Enjoy hiking in the Saranac Lake region of the Adirondacks by climbing the six peaks that surround Saranac Lake:

Download the Saranac Lake 6er map

The village of Saranac Lake introduced the Saranac Lake 6er program in 2013. The program challenges people to climb the six mountains listed above to earn a 6er patch. Adventurous hikers can do the mountains in the winter to earn the Winter 6er patch, or climb all of them in one day to become an Ultra 6er.

Hike at your own pace

Hike the Saranac 6 Peaks when you choose and celebrate your accomplishments! The Saranac Lake 6er maps are extremely helpful to those traveling to the area and looking to enjoy Adirondack hikes with panoramic summits. A few of the mountains including Baker and St. Regis are great hikes for the littlest adventures, as they are less aggressive and and still offer spectacular views.

Become an official Saranac Lake 6er

Become an official “Saranac Lake 6er” by climbing all six mountains on or after May 25, 2013, then sending the following information to us:

1. Date you climbed each of the six mountains
2. Time (at the summit) of the mountains
3. Your mailing and email address
4. $10 per person for program entry

Download this handy-dandy form & send your info in for your official patch!

Once the village of Saranac Lake receives the correctly completed information, each finisher will be sent a confirmation letter with an official member number (all numbers awarded in order of completed applications received) plus a “6er” patch and sticker. Your name will be added to the member roster. Please include $10 per person for program entry, with checks made payable to the Village of Saranac Lake, and mail to:
