Fowler's Crossing is a mellow mountain biking trail that utilizes a mix of pre-existing and new trails along the Adirondack Rail Trail. Development is ongoing for Fowler's Crossing, but there are a couple miles of singletrack already built on the north side of the road. Barkeater Trails Alliance (BETA) is building and maintaining the current and future trails at Fowler's Crossing, keep up to date on their website for more information on new sections of trail and access.

Parking is where the Adirondack Rail Trail crosses NY-86, just a couple miles south of Saranac Lake.

Mountain biking

Mellow, well-built single track trail smoothly flows through tall pine trees, with the option for riding at a slow pace or fast clip. The trail links up with the obvious Rail Trail, along with others like the classic Jackrabbit Ski Trail. Because of this, utilizing the map on Trailforks is helpful for the first time visiting this spot.
