Starts gently along the Saranac River on gorgeous, rolling roads with beautiful water views. Ride along Loon Lake then take a roughly paved road for nine miles with nary a building to be seen. Lots of aquatic vistas and wildlife! Return towards Saranac Lake along State Route 30, and stop by the VIC.

LENGTH: 68 miles with 4200 feet of climb.

DIRECTIONS: Take the right on Route 3, North through Bloomingdale. Bear right on Oregon Plains Road. Then right on County Route 60. Curve right to stay on County Route 30, the Gabriels-Onchiota Road. Left onto State Route 3 to take the left on County Route 26 towards Loon Lake. Left at the T on County Route 26, toward Duane Center.

The left on Old Meacham Road leads to the left at the stop sign on State Route 30. Pass the Visitor Interpretive Center, and take the left on State Route 86, which leads back to Saranac Lake.
