Coreys Road Bike Trail

This is a beginner ride of 5.25 miles along and interesting trail and great scenery. The gently rolling terrain turns from paved to hard dirt along the Stony Creek Ponds, set in a pine forest.

On the right, there is an access road to Axton Landing on the Raquette River. Cross the Stony Creek Ponds outlet on a metal bridge. On the right, there is a trailhead parking area for a side trip to the Seward Range. The trail starts running along Ampersand Brook, mixed hardwoods, and a low bog area that might be muddy going.

The trailhead is located at Coreys Road, on Route 3 between Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake.

Upon completing the loop, you may want to ride to Upper Saranac Lake. There's a dirt access road further east on Route 3. Turn left and ride a short distance to the lake, where there is a hiking trail. It is easy walking by the eastern shore for more scenery.
