Slow down, unplug and immerse your senses in nature. Our experienced guides invite you through a series of brief ever-changing sensory activities to explore nature in the Adirondacks in new ways.

Adirondack Riverwalking offers outdoor guided experiences that enhance human wellbeing and foster human care for nature. Our experienced Certified Forest & Nature Therapy guides are also licensed NY State Hiking Guides.

Riverwalking

Don a pair of waders and discover the joy of being in moving water for a summertime adventure in the Ausable River. Feel the current, surrounded by the sounds of the river and the beauty of the Sentinel Range. Walk away invigorated, yet deeply relaxed.

Join an open Riverwalking eco-trip offered every Saturday from 8:30am to 11:30am between June 30 and September 1, 2018. Open trips are $80 per participant and include waders and wading boots. 

Reserve a private Riverwalking eco-trip for you and your family, friends or work team. We are available every day of the week except Monday & Saturday between June 28 and September 16, 2018.

Private trips start at $240 for up to 4 people. Additional participants are $80 each. Prices include waders and wading boots. 

Riverwalking takes place in the Ausable River about 3 miles from the village of Lake Placid. You will receive the location and driving directions with your booking confirmation.

Pre-registration required: 24 hour minimum. We suggest you schedule early for a private eco-trip for your group to ensure that we are available on the day of your choice.

Group size is limited to a maximum of 8 people. Children must be 12 years of age and up.

Waders and wading boots rentals are included in the price of your eco-trip.

Lake & Forest Experience

Try our newest summer adventure, a sensory immersion that explores the contrasts and commonalities between lake and forest. Bring your water shoes as we take you through a series of playful sensory activities that open you to all the sights, smells, sounds, tastes and textures of nature in the Adirondacks.

Reserve a Lake & Forest eco-trip for you and your family, friends or work team. We are available every day of the week except Monday & Saturday between June 30 and September 16, 2018.

Private trips start at $240 for up to 4 people. Additional participants are $60 each. Please bring footwear that can get wet.

Lake & Forest eco-trips take place at the Lake Clear Lodge as well as other locations in the Paul Smiths area, north of Saranac Lake. You will receive the location and driving directions with your booking confirmation.

Pre-registration required: 24 hour minimum. We suggest you schedule your private eco-trip early to ensure that we are available on the day of your choice.

Group size is limited to a maximum of 8 people. Children must be 8 years of age and up

Forest Bathing

Summer and fall, step into the woods for a guided sensory walk and feel yourself a part of nature, opening all your senses to the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures of an Adirondack forest. No goals, no objectives.

Forest Bathing is a great family activity that is both playful and relaxing, where technology is left behind. Children must be 8 years and up.

Join an open Forest Bathing guided sensory walk offered at different locations in the Tri-Lakes area including The Wild Center and the Paul Smiths Visitor Interpretive Center (VIC) on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 11am between June 30 and October 27, 2018.

Reserve a private Forest Bathing eco-trip for you and your family, friends or work team. Discover a new experience together that is accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness level. It is a great team building activity! We are available every day of the week except Saturday between July 1 and October 28, 2018.

Private trips start at $200 for up to 4 people. Additional participants are $40 each. 

Driving directions as well as what to wear and bring will be sent with booking confirmation.

Pre-registration required: 24 hour minimum. We suggest you schedule early for a private eco-trip for your group to ensure that we are available on the day of your choice.

Group size is limited to a maximum of 14 people. Children must be 8 years and up.
