Church Pond

Easy access and early freezing makes this little pond a great place to try. It gets the name Church Pond from its proximity to St. John's in the Wilderness Episcopal Church on its eastern shore.

Access: Take Route 30 south from Malone to Paul Smith's College and the left turn on Route 86. The next, quick left brings you to the Church Pond parking area.

Species: Northern pike, yellow perch, pumpkinseed
