Lower St. Regis Lake

A lovely part of the St. Regis River chain, which also includes Upper St. Regis Lake and Spitfire Lake. It covers 350 acres, with an average depth of 17 feet which drops to a maximum depth of 38 feet.

Paul Smiths College is at the northern end of the lake.

Species: Northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, brown bullhead, rainbow smelt, pumpkinseed, golden shiner, white sucker.

Access: Paul Smiths College, accessible by permission. Alternately, can paddle in from above the outlet dam on Keese Mills Road, or the Upper St Regis Lake boat launch.
