Schools & Colleges in the Saranac Lake Area

Saranac Lake is an amazing place to be a child. Families who raise children in the Adirondack Mountains are rewarded with a special connection to the land and nature. This idyllic setting is a catalyst for play and learning. It helps us stay healthy and live well. The Saranac Lake area is a place where arts, education, business, and recreation all merge to make the whole better than its parts. If it takes a village to raise a child, then this is one where children thrive.

Higher education opportunities exist in Saranac Lake at North Country Community College and at nearby Paul Smith's College. Both institutions offer programs for traditional and non-traditional students and enrich the lives of the entire community through events like conferences, concerts, and guest presentations.
