(Summer Retreat for Three Presidents) Located just 18 miles from Saranac Lake and 26 miles from Lake Placid, our rental cottage has both the convenience of two great villages nearby, and yet enjoys the total seclusion and unparalleled beauty that Loon Lake has to offer. Pets will be considered on an individual basis. We are pet lovers, but we obviously have concerns for our lovely cottage. While most summer rentals either offer common right of ways to the lake or 100 feet of frontage, our cottage has a huge dock (with canoe and rowboat) and over 1/3 mile of pristine lake frontage affording unparalleled privacy and excellent fishing. The cottage has the following amenities: Two bedrooms (one with a queen, one with twins) with very comfortable mattresses. All towels and linens included. Two full baths (one with a combo Jacuzzi tub/shower and one with a shower. Living/dining combo, with a fireplace, sleeper sofa, large screened porch and accompanying deck, with gas B-B-Q. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, microwave and completely equipped kitchen. Activities include: swimming, biking, hiking, canoeing, and excellent fishing (especially in early June and September). Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
