Saranac Lake Riverwalk

Our lovely Riverwalk (three miles round trip) encourages a stroll through town along a brick-paved path beside the Saranac River. There's parks, benches, a dock for launching canoes or kayaks, and informational signboards throughout.

Enjoy the lively river and its many bridges, and easily access our historic downtown with access from the Dorsey Street parking lot via staircases or small paved routes. Coffee, baked goods, and other dining make a lovely break between browsing our unique shops with their art, crafts, jewelry, toys, and clothing.

Handicapped accessible at either end, with a ramp behind the town buildings (take a left at the Main Street light, then the next right to the parking lot) or the other side, along the river at the Tops Market on Church Street, where the sidewalk is flush with the parking lot. In between, there are curb cuts at pedestrian crossings.
