OR Turn west on the dirt road where Hatch Brook crosses NY State Route 99, north of Loon Lake. Drive 2.4 miles and park near the junction of three trails. Choose the middle trail and head west.
At 1.5 miles: pass a small pond on the left-go straight at the next junction.
3.5 miles: right at the fork. Rolling terrain, with a crossing at Winnebago Pond on a beaver dam!
At 6 miles there is a junction to Debar Mountain on right. Nice hiking!
It's another 1.9 miles to reach Meacham Lake State Campground. Rated Intermediate because while it is mostly easy going it is mixed with some rough areas.
