Saranac River - Downtown to Bloomingdale

Drift downstream on this eight mile route between the villages of Saranac Lake and Bloomingdale. Spot abundant wildlife, enjoy the distant mountains, and take pictures while your canoe or kayak floats along the Saranac River to your destination! Easy road access for putin and takeout.

Start at the boat launch behind the Saranac Lake town hall (pictured above)

Put in at the boat launch at the intersection of Pine and Route 3 (map location below.)

Takeout at the Low Bridge:

via NY-3 E it is 8 min, 5.2 miles from Visitor Center, 193 River St, Saranac Lake, NY 12983

Head east on Brandy Brook/River St toward Lake Flower Ave

 Continue to follow Brandy Brook, 0.1 mi, turn left onto Pine St 0.6 mi. Turn right onto NY-3 E.

 Destination will be on the left
