Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce

Has Security Laminate Verifiers Available for Businesses

SARANAC LAKE (NY) - Franklin County Legislator Tim Burpoe in partnership with Franklin County District Attorney Derek Champagne, are announcing the availability of Security Laminate Verifiers.

These devices are used by businesses that require identification to determine the age of a customer purchasing cigarettes, and/or alcoholic beverages. The Security Laminate Verifiers will help to determine if an identification card that the customer provides has been tempered with.

“With these devices the business owners in the Greater Saranac Lake area can now feel some additional confidence that they are doing all that they can to prevent the sale of cigarettes or alcoholic beverages to minors” said County Legislature Burpoe. “I appreciate all that our District Attorney has done to make these aides in fraud detection available to our community businesses”.

The devices are now available on a first come, first served, basis at the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce located at 39 Main Street in Saranac Lake.
