Hiker shuttles

Parking at trailheads can be very limited. Use one of the designated hiker shuttles and make your adventure stress free!

Town of Keene Hiker Shuttle: 

The Town of Keene shuttle transports hikers from Marcy Field to The Garden Parking Lot on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Some of the hikes accessible from this shuttle are:

Essex County Route 73 Shuttle (Marcy Loop):

The shuttle route will run along Route 73, starting at Marcy Field and ending at the Giant Mountain Ridge Trail, and then turning around. The shuttle runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Download map and schedule.

Fall Shuttle - Leaf peep or hike!

This fall, enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage and great hiking in the Lake Placid area with a special hiker shuttle! This shuttle travels between Marcy Field and Frontier Town Gateway in North Hudson from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., October 1 - 2, and 8 - 10.

Even if you're not in the mood for a hike, enjoy the shuttle as a scenic ride and savor views of the High Peaks in all their fall splendor! The foliage along this route is fantastic, as are views of Roaring Brook Falls, ponds, and streams. On Saturdays, Marcy Field is also the site of the Keene Farmers' Market, a wonderful chance to stretch your legs, grab a few selfies, and dig into fresh food and local crafts.
