2022 Music Lineup

Thursday, August 11 at 8:00 p.m. - The Hillbenders present WhoGrass

A chronological journey of The Who’s legendary catalog through the wood and wire of bluegrass instrumentation. Framed as a follow-up to The HillBenders' 2015 acoustic interpretation of The Who’s TOMMY, WhoGrass now gives the audience a career-spanning twist on one of Rock ’n’ Roll’s greatest bands. From the early hits, all the way through The Who’s discography and even a peek into Pete Townshend’s solo career, the rolling banjo, intense dobro percussion, and thunderous vocals have even the biggest Who fans pumping their fist and singing along!

Friday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m. - Paula Cole & Sophie B. Hawkins

2 Powerhouse Vocalists...1 Incredible Concert.  In 1996, Paula Cole released her self-produced, second album This Fire. It was incendiary, a double-platinum smash. The first single, Where Have All The Cowboys Gone? catapulted to the Top 10. Her songwriting was loved by traditionalists, feminists, the LGBTQIA community, and the whole world. Sophie B. Hawkins burst onto the international music scene with her 1992 platinum-selling debut album, Tongues and Tails, which included the indelible hit song Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover and earned her a Best New Artist Grammy nomination. The last three decades have brought multiple awards, sold-out concerts, appearances on film and television, performances with some of the best-known names in the business, a documentary feature, and a critically-lauded tour-de-force performance as Janis Joplin in the nationally-touring play Room 105.

Saturday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. - The Secret Agency (FREE)

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo is a Grammy-winning, internationally touring, purple velvet tuxedo-wearing family funk phenomenon. Combining the positive, primal power of hip hop with the surreal storytelling of science fiction, 23 Skidoo has concocted a potent potion that wows family crowds across the planet.

The ingredients of his magic spells include reverence for the boundless mindstates of young children, respect for the culture and DNA of hip hop, funk, and soul music, and a deep belief in the power of the imagination to change the world in positive ways, both personal and universal. If you can imagine a band with Jim Henson on guitar, Shel Silverstein on bass, and PIXAR as the lead vocalist, you've pretty much got it. And if George Clinton and Q Tip stopped by the party, that might clarify things even more. Basically, if Dr. Seuss and Dr. Dre had a baby, it would be the music of Secret Agent 23 Skidoo.

Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. - The Larry Stephenson Band

The award-winning Larry Stephenson Band has been entertaining audiences for 30 years, including their numerous performances on the Grand Ole Opry, RFD-TV, and headlining festivals and concerts across the US and Canada. Highly regarded as one of Bluegrass music's most recognizable and finest high lead vocalist, Larry Stephenson is a Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame member and five-time Society for The Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA) Male Vocalist of the Year. They also inducted Stephenson into their Hall of Greats in 2018. With numerous IBMA and SPBGMA nominations and awards, Larry records on his own label, Whysper Dream Music.

Saturday, August 13 at 5:00 p.m. - Emmylou Harris

A 14-time Grammy winner and Billboard Century Award recipient, Emmylou Harris’ contribution as a singer and songwriter spans 40 years. She has recorded more than 25 albums and has lent her talents to countless fellow artists’ recordings. In recognition of her remarkable career, Harris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award in 2018.

Saturday, August 13 at 8:00 p.m. - The Spin Doctors

Flashback - 1991: When a band with unparalleled talent emerged from New York City and catapulted to the top of the Billboard 100. Best known for their early hits Two Princes and Little Miss Can't Be Wrong their popularity was based on "universal rock & roll virtues," according to Rolling Stone magazine. The Spin Doctors released their debut studio album "Pocket Full Of Kryptonite" setting off relentless touring and a wave of positive press and die-hard fans.

Sunday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. - Martin Sexton

Martin Sexton released his tenth studio album this year and is touring with what Rolling Stone calls his "soul-marinated voice," acoustic guitar, and a suitcase full of heartfelt songs. The latest release (2020 Vision) is produced by three-time Grammy-nominee John Alagia with John Mayer guesting on guitar.
