The Saranac Laboratory Museum has re-opened and is once again welcoming visitors! Built in 1894, The Saranac Laboratory was the first lab built in the U.S. for the research of tuberculosis. Historic Saranac Lake rehabilitated the building and opened it as a museum in 2009.
Today, it features permanent and temporary exhibits on scientific research; physicians, nurses, and tuberculosis patients; and local history.
The museum is open Tuesday - Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Reserve a timed ticket online. Timed ticketing helps ensure proper social distancing, and masks must be worn.
