The Saranac Lake Women's Civic Chamber (WCC) was founded in 1955 by five women who felt they could do more for their community. Today, WCC members take part in various fundraisers and community service projects throughout the year. We regularly donate to local nonprofits at their request, including The Friends of Mount Pisgah, Summer Youth Program, Holiday Helpers, high school New Visions program, Model UN Club, Public Library, and the Winter Carnival Committee to name a few. We've also provided funds to support the restoration of the clock at Harrietstown Town Hall, Dewey Mountain Ski Center expansion, and the purchase of new equipment for the SL Fire Department.

The Women’s Civic Chamber has a social side too. This hard working group of community-minded women hosts three dinner events each year at local restaurants. They welcome anyone 18 years old and over to join them on the third Monday of each month, beginning at 6:00, September through June, at the Best Western on Lake Flower Ave. It’s a great way to make friends while making a difference!
