Adirondack Snowshoe Fest

SARANAC LAKE, NY - Two years ago, Saranac Lake hosted the 2017 World Snowshoe Championships, with it’s fun Shoe-Be-Do 5K and world class races. This Adirondack village continues to build on this international experience by hosting it’s 2nd snowshoe weekend, dubbed the Adirondack Snowshoe Fest, set for February 23 and 24, 2019.

“Through hard work and extraordinary volunteerism, Saranac Lake became highly regarded in the snowshoe community, and now we want to leverage our brand to boost local tourism," said Saranac Lake Village Mayor Clyde Rabideau. The 2017 WSSF World Snowshoe Championships attracted more than 400 competitors from over 15 nations.

Adirondack Snowshoe Fest organizers are putting together a weekend event which will entice many participants to stay overnight and feature a series of races for all skill levels plus entertainment options. The annual Shoe-Be-Doo 5K fun walk or run for families and individuals has free registration for 18 and under, thanks to Adirondack Health sponsorship for all kids.
