Great Adirondack Birding Celebration

About

Mark your calendar for the 21st Annual Great Adirondack Birding Celebration (GABC)! Northern New York Audubon (NNYA) will be hosting this beloved event, originally established by the Paul Smith’s College Visitor Interpretive Center, which has long been a highlight of New York’s birding calendar, drawing enthusiasts from across the region to experience the rich avian diversity of the Adirondacks. As Northern New York Audubon takes on the stewardship of GABC, they remain committed to offering the exceptional guided field trips, expert-led workshops, and engaging keynote presentations that have made the celebration a favorite among birders of all levels.

Taking place Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1, the 2025 Great Adirondack Birding Celebration will continue its tradition of showcasing the region’s boreal species, including the sought-after Bicknell’s Thrush, Black-backed Woodpecker, and Canada Jay. Birders from across New York and beyond are invited to join NNYA for this exciting event, which highlights not only the incredible birdlife of the Adirondacks but also the conservation efforts that protect these species and their habitats.
