Painting the “forever wild” views of the Adirondack Mountains.

Painting in oils and watercolors, Saranac Lake artist Sandra Hildreth is inspired by the wild views of the Adirondacks. Primarily working on location, “en plein air”, Hildreth hikes, paddles and even skis to various scenic spots to paint. Much like the 19th century painters of the Hudson River School, she believes her paintings encourage people to respect and value these ancient mountains.

Hildreth’s art is always on view as a member of the Adirondack Artists Guild Gallery, 52 Main St, in Saranac Lake. Visitors are also welcome to her home studio/gallery, but an appointment in advance is requested.
