Our Floodwood Outpost is ideally situated on the Adirondack Rail Trail at the Floodwood Road crossing providing easy access to hiking, biking, running, swimming and paddling options. 

We are a family-owned off grid general store selling outdoor gear, maps & books, food & drinks, and other last-minute items for your outdoor recreation.  We offer some gear rentals, guided naturalist outings, as well as hiking, biking, and paddling resources. 

For paddlers we are on the portage between the St. Regis Canoe Area and the Saranac Lakes Wild Forest.  We are also at the crossroads of Floodwood Road and the Adirondack Rail Trail.  Numerous, pleasant short walks & hikes are accessible, including Floodwood Mountain & Long Pond Mountain.
