The Moose Pond boat launch is an accommodating launch at a quiet pond with several backcountry campsites. There is a steep hill dropping down to the water, so trailers are not recommended, nor are larger boats.

How to get there

The launch is located at the end of Moose Pond Road in Bloomingdale. From downtown Saranac Lake, follow Route 3 toward Bloomingdale and take a right at the four corner intersection. Turn onto Franklin Falls Road and follow until you see the sign for Moose Pond. This is just around a curve. There is parking for about 20 vehicles without trailers.
