About

Riverfront Park is the ideal picnic location, with plenty of tables to choose from, and plenty of views to be had. Take your dog for a walk here, fish for northern pike, look for birds, read a book, launch a kayak or canoe: there are a lot of options!

About the park

Riverfront Park is a large grassy area with ample opportunities to picnic in the shade and relax. There is also a 0.3-mile path that leads from Riverfront Park to Riverside Park downtown. Between the two parks is a viewing / fishing platform; though the views and the fish can be "caught" anywhere from the shore in this park.

Pro tip: grab a to-go sandwich and a good book, and enjoy a lunch break here.
