ArtMarket & Studio Tours

Dates are set! NEW in 2022!

We will cohost an indoor “Mothers Day ArtMarket” at the Paul Smith’s College VIC. More details to follow. The remaining ArtMarkets will be in Riverfront Park, along the shore of Lake Flower near the public boat launch and the Church St intersection. Approximately 30 artists set up tents and displays to sell their work. Displays were appropriately spaced and foot traffic managed to make sure Covid safe distances are maintained. Hours are 10 – 3. Please contact us if interested in participating. ArtWorks members will have priority.

We are bringing back the Studio Tours this summer! See a sampling of work at the Saturday ArtMarket, then visit galleries and artists studios on Sunday. A full weekend to experience the arts in the Adirondacks! Check back for additional information.

One of the goals of ArtWorks is to connect artists and artisans to the community through the presentation of visual and literary arts created in the North Country. The ArtMarkets and Studio Tours are one way of serving this purpose. Galleries and studios in town may also be hosting an open house or other special events.  ArtWorks is partnering with the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce for this event.

UPDATE! On July 30-31, the village of Saranac Lake will hold an “ArtMarket Weekend”. Downtown galleries, studios, and other arts organizations will be open and welcoming visitors. Demonstrations, special exhibits, guest artists and other events will be planned. YOU are invited to stop in at any arts venue and pick up information about where to go and who is participating. Additional artists located beyond the downtown area may also open their studios to visitors – a unique experience to see the variety of  art that is created!
