"Latest Work" by Nancy Brossard at Adirondack Artists Guild
About
Longtime Guild member Nancy Brossard will be the featured artist at the Adirondack Artists Guild in November. A plein air painter working exclusively in oil, Nancy begins each piece on location outdoors. Later in the studio, she adds paint in multiple layers, taking time to let each layer set before adding more to develop depth and underpainting.
Her show “Latest Work” includes all new paintings of the local region, including large-scale landscapes that give the sense of walking into the scene as well as smaller works of garden flowers. Nancy lives on Lake Clear, often featured in her artwork and an inspiration all year long. Brossard’s work may also be seen at Gallery 46, the Art Center Lake Placid’s satellite gallery on Main St. in Lake Placid.
All are welcome to attend an opening reception at the Gallery on Friday, November 6th from 5 – 7 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. The show will run through December 1st.
