Looking for fall 2025 events?

When the mountains that hug Saranac Lake transform from their deep greens to rich reds and golds, you may think we’re hunkering down and tucking in for winter. But you’d be wrong! Fall in Saranac Lake is a season stuffed to the gills with events to celebrate the colors, beckoning locals and leaf peepers alike to get in on the fun. Downtown is the perfect host for fall events with farmers markets and artwalks, and a harvest festival heading strong into its second year. Just out of town you’ll find cornmazes and festivals hosted by our neighbors, giving you an excuse to get that scenic drive in and explore vistas with the best vantage points. Come see what’s in store this season!

High Peaks Harvest Festival on Berkeley Green

On October 18th, the annual High Peaks Harvest Festival returns for its second year running! The festival blends together all of your favorite parts of fall with art, music, and local flavors. Artisans from across the region will set up shop, while you can hop from tent to tent trying all the warm and savory, or sweet and cidery bites. Speaking of cider, seasonal craft drinks from regional breweries will be at the ready, calling for a tasting flight with friends. Live music sets the perfect backdrop for the festivities, with fun, family-friendly activities for the little ones and a farmers market to stock up on.

The Harvest Festival celebrates the seemless transition of the High Peaks Farmers' Market (Riverside Park) to its fall and winter home at the Hotel Saranac, when the market tucks inside for the colder months. The Harvest Festival happens the weekend after the Riverside Park market ends and the very next weekend, the indoor market starts!

Tucker Farm's Great Adirondack Cornmaze

Test your sense of direction (and your friendships) with the Tucker Farms Great Adirondack Cornmaze. This sprawling plot of corn transforms every fall for visitors of all ages to come and explore the maze. Open Thursday through Sunday, the maze is in operation, including additional hours on Friday and Saturday nights for “Flashlight Nights.” When you return from your dark maze adventure, the farm hosts a bonfire, s'mores and all! Note that the maze is cash only, so stopping at the ATM beforehand is a must.

Saranac Lake Farmers Market

With crisp air around you and fall colors hugging downtown Saranac Lake, you’ll want to spend your Saturday mornings outside at the farmers market! A summer and fall-time tradition, outdoor markets take to the parks where people can come together for good, fresh food and Adirondack-inspired crafts straight from the producers. You’ll find favorites like Rulfs Orchard, Origin Coffee Co., Ridgeview Ceramics, Sapling Rustic Furniture, T-Marie’s Pies & Pastries, and more! Find the market at Riverside Park every Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., from June to mid-October.

September 18 ArtWalk

On the third Thursday of the month Saranac Lake hosts Artwalks, where you’ll find artists, musicians, and performers showing their work on the sidewalks of downtown, and everyone else gets the pleasure of enjoying it together! From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., take a leisurely stroll and soak up the creations of local artists, with the chance to take home some of your favorite pieces of course! Pick up the ArtWalk maps at any participating arts venue and start strolling the streets. Artists of all genres—visual and performance artists—and all skill levels, are mixed together throughout downtown, displaying or demonstrating their creative products.

Bonus: OkTUPPERfest 2025

Just a short drive from Saranac Lake, OkTUPPERfest returns to Flanders Park in Tupper Lake on September 27. Set on the picturesque Raquette Pond, the day is filled with fall festivities, with live music and hayrides (drawn by two stunning draft horses), local food, games for the kiddos, and more.

Of course, we would be remiss not to mention the brewfest taking place, featuring beloved local breweries. 2024 saw appearances from Raquette River Brewing, Valcour Brewing, 1812 Brewing Company, Northway Brewing Company, Mean Max Brew Works, and Common Roots Brewing Company; giving you the perfect opportunity to tour through the region’s flavors, all in one spot!
