Education and Professional Development:

SLACC offers monthly seminars and workshops on topics of interest to our members'. Current subjects include management, marketing, social media, online presence, finance, public speaking, and legal issues.

Networking:

Increase your customer base and spread the word about your business and services by meeting other business representatives at our Chamber events. We host an array of networking events, including our quarterly business after hours, after work mixers, and our annual dinner.

Information Publicity and Exposure:

Receive news that matters to you through our informative and legislative emails and weekly Chamber Newsletter. You can also keep the business community informed of what you are doing through our newsletter.

Business Referrals:

Whether it be with one of the thousands of visitors seeking information at our Welcome Center, or a phone call coming in for information, we are aware of your business and work to send customers your way. 

Local Advocacy:

SLACC primary objective is ensuring a healthy business environment; we do this through business advocacy. SLACC represents our business community, communicating with press, local and county government. Members may also bring business related issues to us for assistance.

Advertising, Exposure, and Marketing:

SLACC provides advertising opportunities through our Visitors' Guide distributing 20,000 copies per year throughout the state, at tourism trade shows and locally. Sponsorship of Chamber Fundraiser events are available offering opportunities to maximize your exposure. Including Mixers and Business After Hours. Display of your brochure at the Welcome Center. Having a special at your business? Pass it along and we will include it in our weekly Newsletter.

Partner Business Services

State and Country Wide Advocacy:

Though our contractual partnership with the North Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, we are a part of a 4,500 member business network giving us a voice for the North Country in both NYS and US issues. Our partnership also allows the opportunity for you to connect with our legislators, through our Legislative Breakfasts and other forum events.

Group Health Insurance and Health Care Discounts:

The Chamber offers a full menu of group health insurance programs/rates to member businesses and their employees that will fit your individual needs and budget .

North Country Energy Alliance:

Electricity deregulation has taken effect in New York State and savings are available through your Chamber membership. We are increasing our buying power by pooling our businesses in order to get the most savings. Savings are available for National Grid and NYSEG customers.

Saranac Lake Area Tourism Council:

The Tourism Council is composed of stakeholders working for the community's gain, including our municipalities and business representation.

Member-to-Member Discounts:

We are committed to growing this terrific program. Participating Chamber members are offering discounts on the wide array of services throughout our area with our area. Stay tuned for Member-to-Member discount e-blasts and our Commerce Card provided by our partnership with the North Country Chamber of Commerce.

Event or Venue Booth Set Up:

The SLACC can set up a booth at your upcoming event to highlight your materials, information, maps/directions.

Reduced Rate Event Insurance:

It is expensive to ensure individuals events; the SLACC has an opportunity to provide reduced rate event insurance by adding your event to our policy.

Ribbon Cuttings:

SLACC welcomes new and expanding businesses in the Saranac Lake Area. Thanks to our partnership with local media avenues we are able to help publicize these groundbreaking events.
