4 Week Workshop- Traditional Indian Dance: Natya Yoga

This beginner-friendly workshop will include:

  • Four, 2-hour classes (Every Saturday)

  • Introduction to Bharatanatyam and its spiritual roots

  • Warm-ups and rhythmic movement (Talas)

  • Sacred gestures (Mudras) and postures (Karanas)

  • Basic dance steps (Adavus)

  • Choreography based on Hindu deities and mantras

  • Exploration of Indian epics, classical songs, and Sanskrit poetry

  • Cultural exchange through storytelling and performance

We’ll culminate with a special sharing session, where participants will perform two short pieces inspired by the teachings, open to the community to observe.
