The Adirondack Center for Writing (ACW) invites puzzle enthusiasts to its inaugural crossword tournament, ACWXW, at Hex and Hop Brewing. Participants can compete individually or in teams of two, racing to complete soon-to-be-published New York Times puzzles. Scoring is based on speed and accuracy, with top solvers advancing to a final, Sunday-length puzzle. The event will be emceed by Ken Aaron, ACW board member and ranked 123rd-fastest crossword solver globally.

Doors open: 11:30 AM
Check-in: 12:30 PM
Tournament: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
