First Night has been canceled for December 31, 2022.

Updates for other New Years events will be posted to the events calendar as they are made available.

Entertainment galore

You are invited to the biggest celebrations of the arts in the North Country this New Year's Eve! If you’ve attended before, you know what a great time everyone has ringing in the New Year at this family-friendly annual event. Join hundreds of other revelers who have been celebrating New Year's together for over ten years. More than a dozen acts at 10 different venues throughout the community will entertain you with some well known names and some new-this-year performers.

The many talented artists who bring a rich cultural scene to our region offer music of many genres from 6 p.m. until midnight. At midnight we say goodbye to the old year and celebrate with a vibrant fireworks show over Lake Flower.

A couple dances inside the Saranac Lake town hall with other dancers and the band onstage behind them.
A man and woman sit in theatre seats during a show.
A brightly colored performer interacts with children with balloon animals.
A bright red firework explodes over snowy Lake Flower.

The price of a First Night button until December 30th is only $15 for adults and $10 for teens. Children 12 and under are free. The button gains you access to all performances at all venues during First Night. On the day of the event the price increases by $5, so buy those buttons early! Online button sales are now closed. You can find buttons at these local businesses:

You may also purchase buttons at the Harrietstown Town Hall, 39 Main St, Saranac Lake; on the day of the event.
