Torch Relay in Saranac Lake
Be part of the excitement on Thursday, January 30, 2025, as the torch travels through Saranac Lake in the lead-up to the 2025 Empire State Winter Games Opening Ceremonies.
Event Details:
- Route: The relay begins at Saranac Lake High School (79 Canaras Ave) and travels to Community Bank, N.A. (46 Broadway, Saranac Lake).
- Time: The parade will feature Saranac Lake track and field athletes carrying the torch along its route.
- Line the Streets: Show your support by cheering on the torchbearers as they parade through Saranac Lake.
Opening Ceremony:
The 2025 Empire State Winter Games Opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the 1980 Herb Brooks Area located in the Olympic Center in Lake Placid.
Athlete Village:
Located in the Main Municipal Lot on Main Street, next to the Olympic Center, the Athlete Village is the place to be for family fun! Enjoy hot chocolate, s’mores, sports activities, athlete interviews, a photo booth, and more!
- Friday, January 31: 4-7 p.m.
- Saturday, February 1: 12-7 p.m.
