This beginner-friendly workshop will include:

Four, 2-hour classes (Every Saturday)

Introduction to Bharatanatyam and its spiritual roots

Warm-ups and rhythmic movement (Talas)

Sacred gestures (Mudras) and postures (Karanas)

Basic dance steps (Adavus)

Choreography based on Hindu deities and mantras

Exploration of Indian epics, classical songs, and Sanskrit poetry

Cultural exchange through storytelling and performance
We’ll culminate with a special sharing session, where participants will perform two short pieces inspired by the teachings, open to the community to observe.
