The Hometown Heroes banner program recognizes the service and dedication of individuals from the Saranac Lake community, as well as those connected to it, who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Banners featuring their photos and service details will be displayed on utility poles in the Village. This program is a non-political, non-partisan tribute to their service and sacrifice, run in partnership between the Women’s Civic Chamber of Saranac Lake and the Village of Saranac Lake.
The banners are printed on heavy-duty vinyl and will include the honoree’s name, rank, service branch, and era served. Measuring 2 feet wide by 4 feet long (24” x 48”), these large banners ensure readability by both pedestrians and motorists.
Sponsoring a banner costs $225. The banners will be displayed for two years. After two years, the banners will be returned to the sponsor.
To purchase a banner for your honoree, download and print the sponsorship form available in the "more information" section, follow the instructions on the form, and include a picture and payment.
