Local Massage Therapist Takes It Up A Notch

Local Dan Sullivan (Owner and operator of Adirondack Massage Therapy) is a true asset to our little community here in Saranac Lake. He offers a little something for everyone. Whether you are looking for a Swedish massage, a ‘Zero Balancing’ session, or even a fun pontoon boat tour for the whole family he offers it all.

A boat tour is one of the best ways to see nature at its best, out on the water. Taking out a boat whether you are paddling or cruising with a motor boat is so much fun! You can rent a boat yourself, but what if you don’t want to bother driving yourself and want a personalized guided tour, that’s when you give Dan a call. He does private and public tours starting at Lake Flower and going up to Lake Oseetah and even Kiwassa Lake. He is licensed to have up to seven guests on his pontoon boat, so you can take the whole family. If you happen to be here on a Saturday during our weekly farmer’s market, you can take the tour right from Riverside Park (along with anyone else who wants to go). And if not, he welcomes you to call and set up a private tour; he will gladly pick you up at the Lake Flower boat launch dock. The tour can last one hour or one and a half hours depending what you work out with him. The tour is absolutely beautiful! Once you get out to Lake Oseetah, the view is absolutely breathtaking! The water is calm, it is completely quiet, and nothing but nature surrounds you. Dan has said that he has had multiple sightings of bald eagles on his trips, “just look for the little golf balls in the tree tops.” He can tell you all about the area, some history and some simple fun facts to walk away with. These tours are a great day outing and completely worth the time and money.

Yes, he offers boat tours that are really enjoyable and even educational, but Dan offers something that you cannot get many other places. He can take you out and give you a massage or ‘Zero Balancing’ session right out in the middle of the lake. Now you might ask “Wouldn’t you have no privacy out in middle of the lake?” but once he takes you out to Lake Oseetah you quickly realize that no one will bother you at all. There are no roads that pass and even if another boat is on the water, they can’t see what is happening. He stops, anchors and sets up the massage table in the middle of the lake. Having a massage or Zero Balancing session on a boat is like being completely renewed. It is 100% better than having it done in a studio or in a hotel room. The complete silence of the lake, the light waves of water hitting the sides of the boat and birds flying above make this experience absolutely incredible! Your senses are heightened which allows your body to truly relax and enjoy every second. It is truly an amazing experience!

You might ask what ‘Zero Balancing’ is. It is a therapy that bridges the body and mind bringing you to a completely balanced way of life. It is a deep, but gentle therapy that is done completely clothed. You can feel the tension leave your body one step at a time. He can talk you through each step so that you know what to expect or you can trust him and feel every worry leave your body. Dan is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified in Zero Balancing that lives to create peace in everyone “one massage at a time”.
