Accessible via a hiking trail from Route 3 or a state-maintained boat launch on the north side, it's a favorite for swimming, paddling, and camping. The pond's remote feel and scenic beauty, while still being close to town, make it a perfect spot for a peaceful swim. For a true adventure on the water, paddle out to Bluff Island. The journey itself is part of the experience. Launch from the Saranac Lake Islands Public Boat Launch on Route 3 and head left to follow the winding Saranac River through calm wooded stretches before opening into Lower Saranac Lake.
